The wife and I decided to check out a restaurant in the Garland district tonight. The food was good but another surprise lurked in the background. What I saw I couldn't believe. In this time of seemingly constant breaches of data security, identity theft, and privacy issues of all varieties, I could not believe that the management of this restaurant had such a casual attitude about others right to privacy. We sat at a table right beside the make shift desk that was set up in the 'back' of the place and were able to clearly see completed employment applications sitting on top of a couple phone books on the 'desk' making us wonder how much other information was available to potential thieves, maybe credit card receipts, employee files and who knows what else. I have initiated contact with this restaurant regarding this matter and depending on the outcome, the name of the establishment may be posted here.
